Baldrige Categories of Performance
There are not only two parameters that are self-assessment and self-improvement but along with this the Baldrige Performance Excellence is also needful. There are some ideas and key issues related with Baldrige.
- Leadership: the organization should be run with the guidance of a senior leader of project guide so that the sustainability is assured. The leadership quality should be well seen by managers and according to that the leader should be decided.
- Strategic Planning: It involves the objectives and the scenarios that has to be attained in the near future of the development. The strategic planning is the major fundamental idea to follow the growth. The strategic planning also leads to better growth and implementation in all the departments.
- Customer and Market Focus: an organization has a major task to identify the markets and customer needs as well as the requirements and the preferences which are analyzed and determined by the same. After identifying these resources the company prepares a chart which shows the utilization of these resources.
- Measurement, Analysis and Knowledge Management: it is the process where selection, collection, examination, managerial and improvement work is carried out on information or knowledge assets.
- Human Resource Focus: the learning and motivation of employees is must in the organization as the motivated learners will work with more enthusiasm and passion. The Human Resource Focus should be on the quality of people who are working in the organization not with the quantity. The way they will work with the organization will be directly proportional to the growth of the overall company.
- Process Management: the examination of all processes which are carried out in the company is covered under the process management. The service for customers as well as all the organizational processes is carried out under the management. The examination activities start after setting up the blue print of the processes.
