Empowerment Leadership
Empowerment leadership is a very special way of leading a comapany and is becoming more and more often used in todays economy. What is empowerment leadership? Why is it better than other ways of leading? I will talk about this in todays article.
We all know how fast does economy change today. Noone can follow up and noone can do everything. This is specially a problem in big companies, where thousands of people work and one person cannot control everyone.
Let’s give an example. Do you think Larry Page could control all employees working in Google? NO! That is why leaders “do” empowerment leading. What does that mean?
Empowerment means that you give power to your employees. It means that you trust your workers to make right decisions and you give them power to make those decisions in your company. That way they won’t always have to come asking you and you won’t always have to think about the problem becouse workers will have the power to make a decision.
That is a very good leadership style, becouse workers do have an advantage of being close to the product or service and they have great potential to make the right decision. BUT! You need to make sure that workers have knowledge to make decisions and that they want to make the right decision a.k.a they need to be motivated!
But on the end, leader must be and leader will be. It’s just a question of how much power he will give to people working under him.
