Market Segmentation in UK
Market segmentation is a very intereasting topic. I will try to touch marketing segmentation in UK in this article and try to present you some of the basic information about market segmentation related to UK market.
First we need to know what market segmentation actually is. I’ve talked about this in many articles already so I will be very short about it in this one. Market segmentation is actually nothing else than dividing the market into groups called segments. Now we cannot just split market into random segments, segments need to have some common properties so we can target them later on.
Now in order to split market into good quality segments, we need to know markets and it’s groups properties. Note that we do not create segments, we just look for them on the market, identify them and use them as our target groups. So about market segmentation in UK…
I am not from UK so I do not really know their market so well. But we all know that UK is a modern country with alot of imigrants. So class diferences are probably big and we need to differ market by price. We also need to differ them by culture, since imigrants probably don’t have the same culture as “traditional” english people.
Once we split the UK market into segments we can sell our products much better, becouse we can adjust the the marketing campaigns to that target group, their culture and their income. Hope you now know a little bit more about market segmentation in UK.
