People Capability Maturity Model was launched in the year 1995; numerous copies of People CMM were distributed, and this framework is now used worldwide by small and large organizations. It is the people, technology and process that design the organization. Here, processes are controlled and also certified altogether by various quality systems such as ISO, or Six Sigma, or CMM, and Deming etc. as far as technology is concerned, then it is evolving quickly at its own rate. However, with People CMM, standardization and quality has been injected into another dimension i.e. people.
It renders quality to people processes in an organization and ensures that right people are placed at right place for the right job. As per employee perspective, PCMM further provides employee satisfaction by maintaining systems in right place, recognizing and meeting the set expectations and also the aspirations of workforce. As per business perspective, PCMM ensures crucial as well as skilled manpower resources be available for job. This way it benefits both the organization as well as employees.
