Steps in Buying Process

This article is about five steps that we always go through when we are buying something.

First step is recognizing the problem, recognizing the need for something. For example we decide that we need a new car.

Second step is finding the information or with other words searching for different alternatives that we will then chose from.

Third step is that, chosing the right alternative. In this step we need to take one more look at our alternatives from step two and then we need to make a decision which one we will take/buy.

Fourth step in buying process is making a buying decision and actually buy the product.

Last step is “after buying” behaviour. In this step we are happy and we recommend the product to our friend, or we are disappointed and we tell about it to other people.

This are four main steps in buying process. In impulsive buying, we leave out step two and step three. We just recognize the problem, go and buy it and then be happy or sad about it.
