Theory of Game – John Nash
The branch of applied mathematics, which is used in so many subjects such as social, science, engineering, etc. is known as game theory. In this theory, Nash equilibrium is a solution concept of a game involving two or more players. In the year 1950, John Nash introduced the concept of Nash equilibrium and it became the organizing concept in the game theory. Game is divided into two board areas such as non-cooperative games and cooperative games. These terms mean self-evident. Now taking in consideration non-cooperative games, in the year 1951 John found that he is able to reduce same cooperative games into non-cooperative games. This game is also known as strategic game.
Now taking in consideration cooperative games, which are known as coalitional games. A game is cooperative when the work is done on commitment basis. In this type of communication between two players, The John Nash theory can be given credit to distinguishing the difference between cooperative and non-cooperative games. He also used mathematical models to prove his research. Therefore, it can be said that when one player alters his/her strategies taking into account the other players strategies then it will constitute Nash Equilibrium. As said by Roger before Nash theory of equilibrium there was requirement of equilibrium research because they was not able to go further but a after a Nobel in literature and mathematics John Nash contributed his research about joining cooperative and non cooperative games in 1950 the concept became quite clear and easy to understand. It was probably the best contribution this game study.
