What does a word debt relief tell us about debt relief? It must be connected with debt and it brings a relief. That is more or less all you have to know. Debt relief is a common word for getting yourself out of debt or with other words for getting yourself reliefed of debt. What kind of ways are there to get a debt relief?

First way is Debt Settlement. This means that you negotiate a new way you’re going to repay your debt. This can mean a new time frame for your debt repaying or a repayment of only one part of your debt now and the rest later.

Second way is Debt Reduction. This is similar to debt settlement but in this case, you negotiate to repay only part of your debt. That way you are happy and in most cases your loan giver is happy as well, because he at least gets some money repayed.

Third way is Bankruptcy. Now this way is not really the best one, since you go bankrupt in it. That way all your debt is repayed with everything you have left. You get a debt relief but you get a “relief” of everything you had along with it.

Fourth way is Refinancing. This means that you hire a new loan to repay the first one. Not a bad method and companies use it every day. But as a “one-man” person, it will be hard for you to get a new loan, if your bank see that you cannot repay the first one. Usually you try to solve that problem by going to another bank, but this method is still very hard and unlikely to work. And actually, you do not get a debt relief, you just relief yourself for some time.

I hope you now have some more clue about what is a debt relief and that you got some useful tips on how to get out of debt. Remember, if a problem is to big for you to handle, seek help!
